- What do we need to do to get started?
First, review and understand the information you will be required to supply to the Indonesian Government. Second, after you understand what information will be required of you, preview the wedding packages to see which area and package most interests you and click on the link on the bottom of each page to begin planning your wedding. If you prefer to design your own wedding just click on the begin planning and fill out the form as presented, tell us a little about your dream wedding, send it to us and we'll take it from there. - I am Christian but do not have a copy of my Baptism Certificate. Can I still get married in Bali?
Yes with the following conditions. If you are Protestant you will need to sign a statement that you agree to be married as Protestant.
However Catholics wishing to be married in Catholic Ceremony will need to show a Certificate of Baptism. If you can not do this and still wish to be married in a Christian ceremony you would need to sign a statement that you agree to be married as a Protestant. - What services does a Consulate perform and what are the charges?
There are 3 services your Consulate performs :- Issue of letter of No Impediment - this is mandatory for everyone.
- Registration of foreign marriage with your home country's General Register Office - this is mandatory for everyone.
- Translation of the Indonesian Certificate to your home country's official language. Mandatory for British Nationals, optional for others.
- What wedding alternatives are there and which ones are arranged by AllBaliWeddings.com?
There are 3 types of weddings arrangements : - Legal Wedding
Includes the Clivil Service which is required for a legal wedding as well as the Religious Ceremony at a location of your choice. - Non Legal / Religious Only Wedding
Includes only the Religious Ceremony, excludes the Civil Service. This wedding is not recognised as a legal wedding.
A religious service only is often used for a Renewal of Vows ceremony or Commitment Ceremony. - Royal Balinese Wedding
This is mainly just a show. Although somewhat popular - AllBaliWeddings.com does not arrange these types of weddings. Our reason? We do not know of any priest or pastor that would allow a Hindu or Muslim couple to be married as Christians - for show or not - and we do not want to tread on other people's beliefs. - Where can the wedding ceremony take place?
You may have your wedding ceremony in one of Bali's churches or you may choose to be married at a hotel, villa or on the beach or other choices venue. For your convenience AllBaliWeddings.com has put together many special wedding packages at a few of Bali's best hotels and resorts. These packages are "All - Inclusive" and can be tailor made to fit any budget. For more information go to Wedding Packages. - How long does the wedding ceremony last?
A legal wedding, including civil registrar and religious ceremony lasts about 45 minutes. A non-legal, religious only wedding ceremony takes about 30 minutes. - What are your coordination fees?
All AllBaliWeddings.com hotel wedding packages are "All-inclusive" and the prices are clearly stated. If you decide to hold the ceremony outside the hotel prices will vary according to the location. However that said, for other available services or special request please email us and we will gladly assist you. - When are deposits due and are there any cancellation fees?
Once we have a general idea of the "total cost" of your wedding, a deposit equalling 50% of the total cost is required. The remaining balance will be due upon your arrival in Bali and must be paid before any further arrangements will completed. Should you cancel more than 30 days prior to your wedding date for whatever reason, AllBaliWeddings.com will refund your money in full less any bank (transfer) fees that are incurred. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to your wedding date no refund will be made. - Is there anything else we should be aware of?
A couple of things. First, Indonesians in general and the Balinese in particular are very conservative. This is an important day and you should dress accordingly. If you will not be wearing the traditional bridal gown and suit then "smart casual" is acceptable. Same goes for your friends in the wedding party: Shorts, blue jeans, swim suits, tank tops and the like are not acceptable.
Second, by law, couples intending to marry should be present on Bali 10 days prior to the wedding date to process the paperwork. Realizing that in most cases this is not possible, this regulation is usually waived. - What do you do with all the information that is requested?
Absolutely nothing. We only request that information that will be required to plan and process your wedding. We DO NOT sell, rent or otherwise provide or distribute your information to any 3rd party and have no intention to ever doing so. We respect your privacy as much as we value our own.
